Joe Testa, Co-Director of Adirondack LT
Joe and his wife Kelsey were married in 1996 (between their Sophomore & Junior years in college!). They have five children: Ali, Micah, Anna, Nate, and Alivia. They currently live in East Lansing, MI where Joe works as the Venue Director for Riverview’s MSU Venue.
Ministry background
Joe and Kelsey both became Christians their freshmen year in college at the University of Illinois in Champaign, IL. They went on staff with Great Commission Ministries in June of 1998.
They worked at U of I for 3 years, then moved to ISU to help plant a church. In 2008, they moved to MSU to help start a new venue on campus with Riverview.
Ministry Passion
Joe is most excited about helping people know God and helping people grow and heal in their lives.
A little more about Joe
- He drives a truck, listens to country music, and likes to fish. No, he’s not a redneck – he’s Italian!
- He enjoys building relationships with people, fishing, water sports and doing all kinds of different activities with his family.
- They love to vacation together in northern Michigan.

Dave Schubert, Co-Director of Adirondack LT
Dave and his wife Collette were married in 1999 (Dave had a serious crush on Collette for 7 years before they got engaged!). They have three girls: Anika, Carissa, and Serena. They currently live in East Lansing, MI where Dave works as a senior leader with Riverview’s MSU Venue.
Ministry background
Dave has been a Christian since the age of 10, while Collette became a follower of Jesus in her Junior year of college. They both became passionate about ministering to college students as students at Penn State and went on staff with Great Commission Ministries in July of 1992.
They worked at Penn State for 3 years, then moved to Michigan State to help re-plant a campus church there. In 2000, they relocated to Ball State to help facilitate another church plant from there, and in 2004 they moved to Orlando, FL to serve the association of campus churches as the National LT Administrator within GCM’s national headquarters. Finally, they returned to local campus ministry after moving back to MSU in 2007.
Ministry Passion
Dave is passionate (as much as a Phlegmatic can be passionate) about mobilizing people into ministry. He loves to help people discover their God-given purpose as a function of how God has sovereignly hand-shaped the various stable and dynamic facets of their lives. (Um… what?)
A little more about Dave
- Married Collette at the age of 30 – but never dated or kissed another woman before her
- Would rather spend a weekend in the woods than a week at the beach
- Is a champion at identifying TV theme songs from the 70′s, 80′s & 90′s
